BitcoinFundi is a former Zimbabwean Bitcoin exchange – It had the mechanism for purchasing and selling Bitcoin that made crypto trade in Zimbabwe possible.

Verengai Mabika and Tawanda Kembo started Bitfinance. Bitfinance, a firm operating in the Bitcoin infrastructure sector in Africa, created Bitcoinfundi. It is undeniable that BitcoinFundi is the product of Bitfinance, which was created for a variety of purposes.

There are several reasons for its creation.

The first was to have an on-ramp for the Zimbabwean market. The second reason was to use the BitcoinFundi platform as a testnet for new projects that Bitfinance was working on, such as their Lightning Network implementation.

The company has always been vocal about the fact that they want to help with the development of Bitcoin in Africa
